VELOCITY VORTEX

 

2016-17 FTC SEASON

THE CHALLENGE

Two Alliances – one “Red” and one “Blue,” composed of two Teams each – compete in each Match. The object of the game is to attain a higher Score than the opposing Alliance by scoring Particles into the Corner Vortex and the Center Vortex, lifting Cap Balls, Capping the Center Vortex with a Cap Ball, Claiming Beacons, and navigating to specific parts of the Playing Field.

SUMMARY OF OUR TEAM

For the second season of FTC the team consisted of 27 members. With such a large growth from our first year, the team was able to produce various ideas to use in the game Velocity Vortex. Although the team was not as successful as the first year, they were able to find new ideas for brainstorming and organization. In addition, the team was able to launch new projects that helped them raise more money for the competitions, including a spaghetti dinner. They competed in two qualifiers and had an enjoyable year.
